Artist Statement
The Widelux 35mm film camera I used for this work (ca. 1960s) has a unique 140° field of view to produce long, narrow negatives on 35mm film. This work represents several suites and explorations of this camera’s point of view. Other collections, such as Arboreal Pertinacity and The Limestone Barrens Project, relied on this camera for the negatives used to create the photogravure plates.
